Privacy policy
Last updated: October 6, 2025
Hey! I take your privacy seriously. This privacy policy explains what information I collect when you use my website, why I collect it, and what I do with it. I’ve kept this as clear and straightforward as possible.
1. Information I collect
Information you provide
When you fill out forms on my website (either custom forms or forms powered by Tally), I collect:
- Your name
- Email address
- Company name
- Project details
- Any other information you choose to provide that helps me understand your needs
This information is stored securely in a database and is used solely to assess whether we’re a good fit to work together and to contact you about your inquiry.
Newsletter: If you sign up for my newsletter, I’ll collect your email address to send you updates when I have something worth sharing. I don’t have a strict sending schedule - I only email when there’s something valuable to share.
Information collected automatically
Analytics: I use Umami (a privacy-friendly analytics tool) to understand how people use my website. It collects basic usage data like pages visited, time spent on site, and general location data, but it’s designed to respect your privacy and doesn’t track you across the web. This helps me improve the experience.
I may switch analytics providers in the future to accommodate my business needs or client requirements. If I do, I’ll update this privacy policy.
Hosting & infrastructure: My website is hosted on Deno Deploy and cached on Cloudflare, which may automatically collect certain technical information like IP addresses, browser type, and access times through server logs. This is standard for web hosting and helps with security and performance.
Third-party services
I use several third-party services that may collect their own data under their own privacy policies:
- Tally - for some contact forms
- Cal - for scheduling calls with me
- RazorPay - for processing payments from Indian clients
- Polar - for processing payments from international clients
- Resend/Loops - for sending newsletter emails
- Deno Deploy - for hosting
- Cloudflare - for CDN and security
When you interact with these services (like booking a call or making a payment), they’re governed by their own privacy policies. I don’t control what data they collect or how they use it.
2. How I use your information
I use the information I collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and determine if we’re a good fit to work together
- Communicate with you about potential projects or services
- Send you newsletter updates (if you’ve subscribed)
- Improve my website and services
- Comply with legal obligations
That’s it. I don’t use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or do anything shady with it.
3. Data sharing & disclosure
I don’t share, sell, rent, or trade your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
The only time your data leaves my hands is when:
- You book a call - Cal processes that booking
- You make a payment - RazorPay or Polar processes that transaction
- You’re on my newsletter - Resend/Loops handles email delivery
- Legal requirements - If I’m legally required to disclose information (like a court order)
That’s it. Your data stays with me unless it’s necessary for the services you’re using or legally required.
4. Data security
I take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. Your form submissions are stored securely in a database with appropriate security measures in place.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While I strive to protect your information, I can’t guarantee absolute security.
5. Data retention
I keep your information for as long as necessary to provide you with services and communicate with you about potential projects.
In practice: I retain your data indefinitely unless you ask me to delete it. This allows me to maintain a record of our conversations and potential collaboration.
If you want your data deleted, just let me know through the contact form on my website.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access - Request a copy of the personal data I hold about you
- Correction - Ask me to correct any inaccurate information
- Deletion - Request that I delete your data from my systems
- Export - Request a copy of your data in a portable format (this applies to form submissions and data you’ve provided, not analytics data)
- Opt-out - Unsubscribe from my newsletter at any time
How to exercise these rights: Contact me through the contact form on my website, and I’ll respond to your request promptly.
Note: These rights apply to the data you’ve directly provided through forms and newsletter signups. I can’t provide or delete data collected by third-party services (like Cal or payment processors) - you’ll need to contact them directly for that.
7. International data transfers
I’m based in Chennai, India. If you’re accessing my website from outside India (including the US, EU, UK, or other regions), your information will be transferred to and processed in India.
By using my website and services, you consent to this transfer. I take appropriate steps to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
8. Cookies & tracking
Currently, I don’t use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or any remarketing technologies.
The only cookies used are:
- Essential cookies - necessary for the website to function
- Analytics cookies - from Umami to understand how the site is used
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect some website functionality.
9. Children’s privacy
My services are not directed at anyone under the age of 18. I don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If I discover that I’ve collected information from someone under 18, I’ll delete it promptly.
If you believe I’ve collected data from a child, please contact me immediately through the contact form.
10. Changes to this policy
I may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in my practices or legal requirements. When I make significant changes, I’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top.
Your continued use of my website after changes are posted means you accept the updated privacy policy.
11. Contact me
If you have any questions about this privacy policy, how I handle your data, or want to exercise your data rights, please reach out through the contact form on my website.
Thanks for trusting me with your information. I promise to respect your privacy and handle your data responsibly.
